Does the manual controls filter work in Online Seasons?

If ur planing on buying FC 26 ill try and save you. Game is terrible in every single way. Servers, gameplay, pack grind. Just save urself and stay away

The game is not terrible. Ultimate Team is terrible. If you play Seasons with stock teams you can play football if you don't just hold sprint.

The game forces more things to be competitive mode on Seasons. But like said above full manual just isn't widely played. But competitive mode does force certain things to more semi assisted etc... so it has gone a little more manual.

Ultimate Team is a joke so stay way clear of that.

Thats the reason I always played full manual and Online seasons only, then the game is fine. But in EA FC 24 the control filters did not work properly so I would like to know if it is fixed in 26 :)

I've just come on to the forum to report this as an issue. I had a few games which seemed okay, but then I played someone who I thought was too good and fast to be playing with manual controls. When I looked at the settings, I realised I could change to assisted on everything. 

I had no idea this was an issue before, so to answer your question - no, it is not working properly in EA FC 26.

Thanks for your feedback, cant believe this issue is three years old and still it is not fixed. Unbelievable, what a joke. People who love full manual cant even play the game the way they want. I have no words how pathetic this is, ea just dont care.

And the worst thing is that this issue was repeteadly reported and still its not fixed.

I've been playing MANUAL since Fifa 12. It appears that when the match starts both players are on MANUAL as it now takes forever to find a game on Seasons Online Manual. But as someone pointed out, there could be an option to change the controller settings when game is paused. I have not checked this myself, but I wouldn't be surprised. 

The only recommendation I have is playing COOP Seasons. Even against assisted players you have more of a chance with manual because neither player can control the AI. So, no switching to DMF and using the Teammate contain or double contain for the entire match. Both players on the team have to defend. Also the Gameplay is set to AUTHENTIC which makes the Gameplay SLOWER and gives MANUAL players more of a chance. 

Another online option for manual is playing CLUBS. Even though it's against assisted players you still have some sort of fun in drop ins only. Wouldn't recommend playing League Clubs as the assisted teams are sweaty and think they are good players. LOL. 

Thanks for your reply, Im a full manual player since FIFA 08 and I love the freedom it gives you and it plays more realistic. It always took time to find an opponent, but at least I knew it is a fair game. Now I really dont wanna play a game, where you choose manual but it can be changed in game, thats something like cheating. So probably this issue is still in the game which is... I really dont know how to name it. Ignorance from EA? :(

blue166​ I only play Seasons and I can tell you the game IS terrible. At this moment. Maybe next week it is not anymore. Who knows?

For the first 2-3 weeks it was near perfect. Then updates were released and nothing worked anymore. Could hardly win a game. In December suddenly it all worked again. I win 3 Cup finals in a row, and in the following week I go from Division 5 to Division 1 without losing one game. The day after getting into Div 1, a new update is installed and since then it's unplayable again. Lags, buttons not working or too late, wrong passes, defenders all over the pitch except where they are supposed to be, every player feels like moving an elephant through a swamp, ...

The game is a joke
