Inconsistent passing

Why is this still a thing. Players can’t make simple short passes with their strong foot. I get 30 yard ones up field if I’m passing it 5 yards with a high passing player it shouldn’t miss this regularly. 
but sorry EA you seem obsessed with me running with the ball like a headless chicken. Have you ever watched football. This needs to be changed frankly it’s pathetic it’s still an issue
