Menu lag button not responding

Hey everyone,

I’ve been playing EAFC 26 since launch and never had a single issue with it. The game has always run smoothly on my PC, no input problems, no weird bugs — nothing.

But yesterday something completely broke. Out of nowhere, EAFC stopped responding properly to any inputs. When I open the game, the menu barely reacts. If I hold the left analog stick down for a while, it eventually scrolls, but extremely delayed and in a weird burst of movements. At first I thought it was my controller acting up, so I disconnected it and tried using my laptop keyboard instead… but the exact same thing happens.

Here’s what I’ve tried already

Reinstalled EAFC

• ⁠Updated every possible driver

• ⁠Restarted the PC multiple times

• ⁠Tried controller and keyboard separately

• ⁠Checked for issues outside the game

Nothing changed. The game opens, but I can’t navigate the menus properly at all. I recorded a video showing the issue (attached in the Reddit post).

Has anyone seen this before? Is this a EAFC bug, EA App issue, or maybe something with my PC? Any help would be appreciated.
