Ongoing concerns regarding gameplay changes, marketing claims, and transparency

I am writing this to formally express ongoing concerns shared by many long-term players regarding the current state of the game, particularly around gameplay consistency, post-launch updates, and transparency.

At launch, the game was marketed as having improved gameplay balance, responsiveness, and reduced AI over-intervention compared to previous versions. However, following multiple post-launch updates, many of these advertised improvements appear to have been rolled back or significantly altered. The current gameplay often feels less responsive, heavily AI-driven, and inconsistent from match to match.

As an example, within the same game mode and difficulty (Squad Battles), I experienced a drastic swing in results across overnight season update. the night before I won multiple matches comfortably against mid-tier teams on World Class and Legendary. right after season change at midnight , under the same settings, I lost several matches to lower-rated teams due to highly inconsistent AI behavior, refereeing decisions, and player physics. These swings do not feel tied to player input or skill and raise concerns about underlying gameplay tuning.

Another major concern is the timing of gameplay changes relative to monetization. As the game progresses and pack prices increase, gameplay appears to become heavier and less rewarding, while pack odds for high-value players remain extremely low. This creates the perception that gameplay balance is being adjusted in ways that may encourage additional spending rather than reward skill or time investment.

I want to be clear that this post is not a threat, an attack, or a demand for compensation. It is a factual expression of concern from a long-time customer who feels that the product no longer reflects what was advertised at launch. Had the current gameplay state been present at release, my purchasing decision would likely have been different.

Many players feel left in the dark, as changes are introduced without clear explanations, detailed tuning notes, or acknowledgement of how these updates affect the core gameplay experience. Greater transparency, consistency, and accountability would go a long way toward restoring trust.

I respectfully ask for:

Clear communication about gameplay tuning changes

Consistency between marketed features and the live product

Assurance that gameplay balance is not influenced by monetization pacing

I hope this feedback is acknowledged and taken seriously, as many dedicated players want the game to succeed without feeling misled or ignored.

I doubt you will get any feedback. Check out Being Played on YouTube, if you would to get some perspective.

It has become a pay to win scenario.

  • Don't you know? You're losing at squad battles because you are not good enough.

    That's what EA are claiming

People are upset because they are losing, it's not the games fault, it's the user.
