Pay More, Play Later

It’s honestly ridiculous how EA handles “early access.” Paying extra for the Ultimate Edition should guarantee the earliest possible entry, yet somehow EA Play subscribers — who pay far less — get to touch the game first. On top of that, content creators are given days of unrestricted access before paying players even get a chance.

This structure feels less about rewarding loyalty and more about squeezing every revenue stream possible: subscriptions, Ultimate Edition sales, and promotional exposure through creators. For the players who actually keep the franchise alive year after year, it comes across as greedy and backwards.

EA really needs to rethink what “early access” means — because right now, paying more just means waiting longer.
