I have heard a conspiracy theory about CoD Warzone that if you buy new content from the store, your next game in Warzone will be full of lower-skilled players in your lobby. I figured the same was happening here because a lot of my recent opponents have had these super-boosted players in their squads.
You may have a point with SBMM. I've had trouble winning 3 games in a row recently. It seems like they are trying to cater to those who empty their bank accounts into this game. Those of us who are trying to grind are left behind.

I think they could very well be people who enjoy trolling...
Often, these people aren't just good, they also play to annoy you.
However, I can tell you that the game is one of the worst ever released, not so much for the content but for the lack of protection for mid- to low-level players.
In eight years of playing FIFA/EA FC, I've never come close to abandoning the game in November!
It never gets worse...Yes! I've had the same issue. I take shot after shot against his 83-rated GK and he makes saves like prime Gigi Buffon. Keep in mind I have Pajor, Forlan (Hero), and Alba Redondo (UWCL Primetime). Meanwhile my Courtois (89-rated) is making saves like his gloves are coated in dish soap. The strangest part is that once I'm 2-0 down, my players can finally score a late goal.
It seems like the game is made for wannabe pro gamers. What's the point of grinding if you can just pay to win? Instead of "authentic" and "competitive" mode, they should have made it "casual" and "sweat" mode. It's just not fun. I'm just speed running the trophies right now so I can stop playing.
