It hasn't technically done anything to goalkeepers, it's negated people's ability to move their keeper to make the save more achievable. Goalkeepers themselves have been far from sufficient for years, but keeper movement enabled people to make a read and make more saves. Most of the community don't like that though, they want goals galore as it's apparently more entertaining for them.
Personally, I've always liked when keepers are more challenging, but I'm in the minority on that one. People wanted keeper movement gone and now goals are ridiculously easy to score, that's why you see so many high scorelines.

Goalkeeper movement was stupid and looked silly. It protected people's rubbish efforts at defending and stopped people scoring goals they earned by working the chance.
The FIFA series was better with out it.
To dominate someone all game for a keeper to make unrealistic movement to make saves and then lose was terrible. I was pretty good at it when needed and I'm telling you id rather it gone.

I don't disagree with you about that, but I'm talking about when goalkeepers were actually good in the game. People got them nerfed into the ground and they have never recovered, instead year by year there has been a steady increase in goals as people have improved.
At the end of the day I would rather have good goalkeepers than have people rely on AI defending like they are now, and were last year. The amount of people I've faced that just run back with their striker or use their CDM recently and last year. If it's not one thing it's another, so really it's just about what you would rather face.
