Re: Failed to Save and inappropriate Pro Clubs Name
I’m the owner of a Clubs team on PS5, and our club has become completely inaccessible due to what appears to be a false profanity flag.
Our club name was:
2ndBestGooners
The game suddenly flagged it as containing “Profanity or Offensive Content” and now forces me to rename the club before anyone can play.
The issue is that every name I try—even very simple names like “Blue FC” or “River FC”—is rejected. I receive one of the following messages:
- “Profanity or Offensive Content”
- “Failed to update”
Because no name will save, our club is permanently stuck on the rename screen and none of our members can access Clubs.

What I’ve Tried
- Multiple clean, non-offensive club names
- Restarting the game and console
- Trying again several times
- Removing numbers and special characters from the new name
Nothing has resolved the issue.
The original club name, 2ndBestGooners, is a reference to Arsenal supporters (“Gooners”) and does not contain profanity. It appears the automated filter has incorrectly flagged the club, and the club is now stuck in a server-side state.
Could someone please investigate and manually reset or clear the club name flag so we can regain access to our club?
