Subject: Update on the Season Pass / 2FA "Catch-22" bug (PS5)
Hey everyone, Just a heads-up for those of you on PS5 struggling with the Season Pass and Clubs in FC26 being locked when 2FA is on. I just got off a long chat with EA Support and wanted to share the current status so you don't waste time on useless "fixes."
The Problem (The Paradox): Like many of you, my Season Pass only works when I turn 2FA OFF. But as soon as I do that, I can't use the Companion App because it requires 2FA to be ON. It’s a total mess you basically have to choose between playing on your console or managing your team on your phone.
Official Word from EA Support: I pushed them for a fix, and their official response was: "This is under investigation by our game team. We don't have an exact ETA, but they are actively working on it and it will be fixed at the earliest."
Don't waste your time on these: I’ve tried everything, and none of this works: * Restoring PS5 licenses, * Clearing system cache in Safe Mode, * Changing passwords or deleting local save data, * Reinstalling the game.
Conclusion: It’s a 100% server-side "handshake" bug between PSN and EA. Don't mess with your console settings; it won't help. We just have to wait for EA to deploy a backend patch. Until then, I'm keeping 2FA off while playing on my console and only toggling it on when I absolutely need the app.
