TOTS Milestone - deadball banger not tracking

Hi, I have been trying to grind for the TOTS milestones objectives as I want the packs and the player picks, however I have noticed that even when scoring a direct free kick with TOTS breakout Doumbia, it doesn't count towards the objective. I thought maybe it being a TOTS breakout was the problem, however when using TOTS breakout Egli for the hot streak objective it does track. 

The issue of direct free kicks not tracking has been the case already for the 3rd edition of the game in a row now for me, in both FC24 and FC25 I was never able to claim the full scoring milestones due to free kick objectives not properly tracking.

I want to complete the TOTS milestones objectives as it does offer really good rewards, however this is preventing me from doing so. Is there anybody else experiencing this problem and how do I fix it?
