Contract extension bug

There is something wrong with the contract extensions in manager carreer mode.

One of my players had 7 months left on his contract. I gave him a 1 year extension deal and signed that extension. For some reason he still has 7 months left... and i can nog negotiate a new deal because I just negotiated one.

In this same season I gave a young player an extension of 4 seasons. Signed the deal, but he only got a 2 year extension?

If the new transfer / contract system is one of the main improvements in tis new FC27 carreer mode... How is it possible that is has these bugs?
