This is a pretty good summary of everything that is making career mode such a slog right now. The the gameplay I don't have a lot of issues with, but the admin is horrid, and so much stems from the transfer system.
Players submit transfer requests but then I get zero offers for them, or they reject when I agree a deal when an offer does come in on the rare occassion. I then get the captain complaining I'm not listening to players when I literally have no offers to try and sell them, and by about Feb in the season everyone has low morale and play like rubbish and I just give up.
No loan offers for prospects so development is curtailed, no offers for players I actually want to sell. The playtime requirements for Crucial/Important etc. Just feels unmanageable, which is mostly brought about by being unable to actually do anything in the transfer market to balance the team roles.
I've tried two careers now and I can't even finish the first season cause I just get pulled out of it by ball the issues being generated from the transfer system being a mess :(
Klaxon nails it. And agree with much of what OP described. I love a lot about the gameplay changes, but there are so many frustrating details surrounding it. Player changing is super sluggish and often switches me to players I don't want to select. But as many have noted, the transfer system and player morale is seriously broken. If you don't play someone every game, they submit a transfer request and this piles up into a morale problem for the entire team.
