Realistic gameplay

I’m manager playing carreer mode. Started with a big budget, so I have good players/squad (72 abd over in every position) and have tried multiple different formations and player roles and positions. Why is it that the teams in ligue1 in England seem to play like PSG, even though I have difficulty set on «Semi-professional»?
