Regens are simply overpowered.

I was running some tests with Las Palmas and realized that at the start of Season 2—in July—there are, I kid you not, about 10 free agents aged 18 with an OVR of 80+, and I’d say around 50 rated above 70. You might say, "Just don't sign them," but that misses the point: it completely ruins the realism of Career Mode. It alters the market dynamics—allowing a club like Getafe to pick up a 79-rated player, sell him for a high fee, and reinvest the cash—but ABOVE ALL, it kills the fun when you find yourself facing teams like Betis or Atlético in Season 2 and they’re fielding 80-rated regens that seemingly appeared out of nowhere.

In short, this is the number one thing that needs fixing before anything else if the mode is to have any chance of survival.
