Awful, squad battles again
Just played a few games on squad battles and it appears nobody has listened to feedback for fc26….
- AI way to fast, catching from a good 5-10 yards within a 1/4 of a pitch
- using shield ball over aggressively
- Can’t tackle AI efficiently due to always shielding or moving to my inputs
- AI is always in the pass lane after you press pass button and the action on the pitch from the input
- tackling still being done through the back or behind every one is perfect….actually watch a game of football, it’s a foul everytime
- the moment you do the buttons for a power shot, before the action happens on field, AI has already closed you down
- AI is moving to the input, not the action on the field
- AI is still defending with more than 3 players with perfect switching to defend.
- switching using the button is inconsistent at best
- when the AI starts passing fast, it’s impossible for defending due to switching issues and tackling
- impossible to win a header
- rebounds still going to AI, loose balls going to AI, partly because of bad switching mechanics
- my left back played a left forward onside giving a free attack on goal and no way to get a defender to the attacker
all in all the game is still in beta from fc26, this seems to be another hash of a game following on fc25 then 26.
it’s a shame that the fundamentals are not worked on, because getting the basics correct will improve the game no end. And that’s down to passing to the person you expect, or getting the player closest to the ball
altogether this version should be scraped and started from fresh because this can’t keep going on,
