EA FC Future Career Mode — Shared Online Careers & 20+ Seasons
Dear EA Sports FC Team,
I have an idea that could transform Career Mode: a persistent Shared Career Mode where friends can build their own football world together.
My vision
Players should have three choices:
- Offline Career — play completely solo without internet.
- Online Shared Career — play with friends anywhere in the world.
- Friends Code — create a career and invite friends using a simple join code.
Shared Manager Career
Support 2–8 players in one career, so players can choose the number of friends they want rather than being forced to have 8.
Each manager chooses one club OR one national team.
Everyone shares the same:
- Calendar and fixtures
- Transfers
- Injuries and suspensions
- Domestic and European competitions
- International competitions
- Results and league tables
- Player development
Players do not need to be online at the same time. Offline managers can have matches simulated or their teams controlled by AI using saved tactics.
20+ Season Football History
Both Manager Career and Player Career should support at least 20 seasons, with Manager Career ideally allowing even more.
The game should permanently record:
- Season statistics
- Calendar-year statistics
- Club and national-team records
- Player records
- Manager records
- Trophies and achievements
- League and Champions League history
- Club World Cup history
- Top scorers, assists and appearances
- Biggest transfers
- All-time records
Awards & Rankings
Add a much deeper awards system, including:
- Ballon d'Or
- Golden Boot
- Golden Glove
- Player of the Season
- Young Player of the Year
- Best Defender/Midfielder/Forward
- Champions League awards
- Club World Cup awards
- Manager of the Season
- All-time player and manager rankings
Players should be able to look back after 20+ seasons and see who became the greatest players, managers and clubs in their save.
Separate Shared Player Career
Keep Player Career separate from Manager Career. Allow 2–8 friends to control different footballers in the same persistent football world.
Why this could benefit EA
This could turn Career Mode into a living football universe rather than simply another game mode.
It could:
- Increase EA FC sales by giving groups of friends a reason to buy the game together.
- Increase long-term engagement and retention.
- Bring former Career Mode players back.
- Create major social-media and community interest.
- Strengthen the EA Sports FC brand and reputation.
I strongly believe this feature should be included at no additional charge for EA FC owners.
