FC 27 Gameplay Is a Huge Step Back

FC 26 was fine, just like FC 25 and FC 24. But FC 27 honestly feels like one of the worst versions I’ve played.

Why make defending this manual? Reducing AI assistance is fine, but almost removing it completely isn’t. Player movement is extremely slow, and through balls feel terrible.

I used to reach Elite, and now I genuinely can’t win a single match.

through balls are manuel, the gameplay is so slow because you don‘t have a full crazy players team that has every important stat good enough, people literally abused AI defending in fc26 so much so why even give the smallest option to use it? if you can‘t defend and don‘t want to learn it than you got some skill issues, and calling fc27 a stepback from a fc25 is the weirdest thing i have read so far

Your tripping dude.  The only way to defend in this game is to constantly attack and pressure.  Thats not real.  Balanced and Deep are completely worthless which should be the opposite.  Constantly pressuring is the most riskiest and exhausting defensive tactic.  It should be extremely difficult but instead it is the META.

  • I completely agree, on the surface I like manual defending and it should be rewarding. I’ve been a consistent Div 2 player for many years.

Completeing removing any AI assistance is the problem, in tight areas if I’m controlling a CB to try and hold position and my Defensive midfielder is Infront of the attacking player it shouldn’t be going through them, We can’t control multiple players at once. Keep manual defending but give players back AI assistance because the game is not realistic at all. I shouldn’t be punished for controlling my centre backs and holding their position just for the ball to go through my other players, and I feel the main issue is the dribbling and Left stick and tech + abusing. In the tighter areas my likelihood of winning the ball back should be a lot greater than they are and we shouldn’t be punished because players are better and have more time to figure out how to abuse mechanics like this.

You’re right, bro. But completely removing AI assistance is the problem. How am I supposed to control the midfield and a CB at the same time? How can the ball just go past a player I’m not controlling like he’s not even there?

Certainly a skill issue. Switch to the player that your opponent ran through
