Game is unplayable

I've been playing these games all my life, and in the lead up to the release of FC27 I decided to play the older fifa games, and I can't get over how much better the gameplay is 10 years ago compared to now. 

In FC27 the opposition players don't even run, the opposition was literally walking as my players counter attacked them. Even the passing from them is terrible. Every couple passes they just have to play a Pirlo esque long ball over the top, it's literally the only way they can create a chance to score. What happened to just breaking down a team with short passes ? They only attack with 2 players, coz everyone else is walking.

The midfields from both my team and the cpu's team is non-existent, they don't move at all, they pass and stand still, not moving into space, it's genuinely unplayable. I've never seen players walk so much in my gameplay before. 

Very sad, as this is the only game I play, and as someone who loves football this just isn't it.
