Loan player squad numbers

I have recently done a live start save in the Polish league with Slack Wroclaw and upon getting in two loan players at the start of the winter window, when I go to change their squad numbers in squad hub it shows the squad numbers of their parent club and players opposed to my teams available numbers

when I select a new number, it does not change the players squad number and it remains to whatever they were already allocated.
