Squad Battles AI Defending Is Far Too Strong Even on Semi-Pro

I would like to give some feedback about Squad Battles in FC 27.

The AI defending feels far too strong, even on Semi-Pro difficulty and even when playing against low-rated teams.

Defenders close down space extremely quickly, track runs very effectively, intercept passes and make tackles with very few mistakes. This does not feel appropriate for Semi-Pro difficulty, especially when the opposing team has weak or low-rated defenders.

Goalkeepers are also making almost no mistakes. Even low-rated goalkeepers often react extremely well and save shots consistently. There should be a noticeable difference between a low-rated goalkeeper on Semi-Pro and an elite goalkeeper on higher difficulties.

I am not asking for Squad Battles to become extremely easy. I think the difficulty levels simply need better separation. Semi-Pro should have more defensive positioning mistakes, slower reactions and more goalkeeper errors than Professional, World Class or Legendary.

At the moment, weak teams on Semi-Pro can sometimes defend with a level of consistency that does not match either their ratings or the selected difficulty.

Please consider adjusting AI defending and goalkeeper consistency in Squad Battles so that player ratings and difficulty levels have a more noticeable impact.

Commenting in support. Squad Battles gameplay is noticeably different from all other modes. Difficulty is over-tuned and opponent AI plays out of their skin while nearly all the player's passing options hide behind defenders or run into offside positions.

It seems like EA's solution to increased difficulty isn't to improve the AI's ability to play, but to break the gameplay altogether.

  • Same as last year, same problems.

Low 70's rated teams and players with cb in goal and cb up front playing like the best gk and st in the world.....
