What,s wrong this year about Ultimate?

Hello!

Do I need to take some kind of *course* just to win an online match?

I’ve been playing FIFA since the very first edition (I’m 50 years old), and I’ve never felt this frustrated.

I’ve always been annoyed by the game’s focus on dribbling and skill moves, but this year, I simply can’t counter it with passing. I can’t run, I can’t build up play—I can barely even get past the halfway line. Meanwhile, my opponent—through an endless series of twists and turns—reaches my penalty area with ease. It’s incredibly difficult for me to win matches—even harder in Rivals, and practically impossible in events. I’ve watched tutorials on how to play, on different playstyles... but nothing helps. I also don’t want to have to obsess over the current year’s "meta." I just want to be able to play a few matches before bed and actually win one, instead of going to sleep angry.

I had already stopped buying the game at launch, but I did it this year—and I regret it.

Are there any adjustments planned? Is it possible to implement matchmaking that pairs players who don’t obsessively exploit the meta or abuse skill moves?

Same boat here. Been playing every year since Road to world cup '98, and my hate for FIFA Street has been slowly but surely increased as of the last few editions.

Devs had made it clear that they don't want to patch the game in order to change gameplay. So you either are forced to play this year's meta version of fidget spinning tactics on the one approved meta formation with the same players everybody uses, or seek fun elsewhere.
