1. Market Crash Issue

One of the main reasons we play Ultimate Team is to build our own squad and work towards getting the players we want. We don't want to see Mbappé or R9 in every single team. However, seeing Gold Mbappé's price completely crash during the first month of the game is a major issue. In my opinion, one of the biggest reasons for this is the Evolution system.

Evolutions are genuinely fun, and I think they are a great addition to the game. However, after a certain point, an Evolution card can become so strong that the only real difference between an evolved player and a high-end promo player is something like their body type.

This is not what we want.

There are two possible solutions: either make Evolutions significantly more expensive, which would at least help prevent the market from crashing so quickly, or reduce their overall power level.

Personally, I think the better solution would be to change how Evolutions scale compared to promo cards. Promo cards should remain clearly ahead of Evolutions. For example, an Evolution should have stats closer to the mid-level cards from two or three promos ago rather than being able to compete directly with the latest high-end promo cards.

I also think it is extremely important to preserve the value of Icons within this system. For example, if you introduce important Icons such as George Best or Bobby Charlton into the game, an Evolution made from a relatively unknown or much lower-profile player should not become better than these Icons.

Of course, after five or six months, when the overall power level of the game has naturally increased, I can understand some Evolutions becoming better than standard Icons. However, especially during the early stages of the game, Evolutions should not be competing with important promo cards or Icons.

For example, a player who owns Mbappé should be able to genuinely feel the difference that using Mbappé makes. In the same way, someone who owns an important Icon should feel that using that card is something special.

When an Evolution like Pina becomes so strong that almost everyone is using her throughout Weekend League, a large part of the value and excitement of owning high-end players disappears. I don't think Evolutions should be strong enough to directly compete with top-tier squads in Weekend League.

I'm not saying Evolutions should be removed. On the contrary, they are fun and give players the opportunity to experiment with their squads in different ways. However, they should remain slightly behind the current meta.

If Evolutions were based more on previous promo cards and scaled behind the current power curve, I believe that would be the best solution for both sides. Players could still enjoy building unique Evolution cards, while real players, Icons and new promo cards would retain their value and the difference between them would remain noticeable.

This is a really important issue. Please take this feedback seriously.

At the end of the day, if I have Mbappé in my squad, I want to feel the difference that having Mbappé makes.

The feeling of owning a truly elite player or an important Icon should not disappear within the first month of the game.
