FIFA 2005 > FC 27

Longtime FIFA/FC Career Mode player here. I've played Career Mode since FIFA 2005. Somehow the gameplay and Career mode are worse than 22 years ago. EAFC 27 is a disgrace.

Career Mode launched with a multitude of gamebreaking bugs, from too many young superstars generated, to random transfer requests, impossible morale balance, and awful UI.

Those have already been looked at and some repaired, but the inexcusable thing is making a football game that makes football feel terrible, clunky, unfair, and scripted. 

I have been known to play Legendary difficulty offline and be highly competitive, while online get to the top division of Ultimate Team (before I realized the unethical cash grab that mode was). In this game however, the gameplay is so garbage, I couldn't last a full game before turning my console off in fury.

Playing on World Class difficulty, the AI are pressing machines. They are constantly hunting and chasing like a PSG on Adderall. AI tackles are drawn to the ball like a magnet, defying physics to steal the ball in a way no user player is capable of. 

Even world class wingers feel slow and clunky to turn, my strikers cannot handle a 5 yard pass into feet if a defender is within shouting distance, my AI teammates never make runs into the box, to the point where dribbling to the touchline after sustained possession, I had ONE player in the box against 5 defenders. 

I have been a decent footballer in real life myself. Division 1 college in the US, coached and played with professionals, and been invited inside a top European academy. EAFC is not realistic, fun, or even remotely "Authentic".

Honestly, I want a refund. This is no longer an enjoyable game.

    You said pretty much everything, in this game you cant actually play football every single AI player will bump into you, this game is trash,FC 26 gameplay was perfect, I want a refund too

    Update, my refund request was denied due to having the game more than 14 days. Joke is on me for hoping they patched it to be mildly playable. Welp.

    I haven’t tried Rush but not surprised it’s a buggy mess. I’ll try for refund through the official channels but doubt it’ll be accepted since I’ve had it downloaded longer than a week. They don’t care, they got their money. That’s all EA cares about now. Not the players, not the product, only the bottom line.

    Good luck with the refund. Did you try Rush? I have a huge volleyball net in the middle of the pitch. I am not kidding. There are other reports about it in technical issues section. I reported that four days ago. No comment from anybody related to EA. When I was ironic when mocking the term cheating when doing  the coin transfers between two own accounts in game where people with money can buy any players, I got feedback next day with reference to the guidelines. Don't worry you won't get nothing back.
