Savio Isn’t Worth This — And Here’s the Proof

Has anyone actually managed to complete the Ones We Watched Legendary Challenge?

I genuinely want to know.

EA asks us to win four Squad Battles matches on Legendary difficulty to complete the challenge and earn Savio.

For me, this has stopped being fun.

I've played match after match, and instead of feeling challenged, I'm starting to feel frustrated, bored and completely exhausted.

And this is where I started asking myself:

Is Savio really worth all of this?

The answer becomes even more questionable when you look at what happens after you finally complete the challenge.

You get a player who may or may not receive an upgrade, depending on the performance of his club.

And this is the proof.

According to EA's official rules, Savio's Ones to Watch card can receive the Wins to Watch +1 upgrade only if Tottenham win 3 of their next 6 domestic league matches.

Now look at Tottenham's current league form:

Brentford — Win 3-0

Newcastle — Loss 0-2

Nottingham Forest — Draw 0-0

Everton — Draw 0-0

Aston Villa — Loss 2-3

That's just one win from five league matches.

And among the upcoming fixtures are difficult games against Manchester United and Chelsea.

So after all those Legendary Squad Battles matches, there is still no guarantee that Savio will actually receive the upgrade we are hoping for.

And this is what makes the whole objective frustrating.

We are being asked to invest time, concentration and repeated attempts into an extremely difficult challenge...

For a reward whose potential improvement depends on results that are completely outside our control.

And what about the packs?

Yes, there are additional rewards.

But packs are not guaranteed to give us players who will actually improve our squads. Many players complete objectives like these and end up with rewards that make little difference to their teams.

So what exactly are we working so hard for?

I don't mind difficult objectives.

I don't mind losing.

I don't mind having to improve my skills to earn a reward.

But there has to be a reasonable relationship between the effort required and the value of the reward.

Right now, I don't feel that relationship exists.

And I want to know if I'm the only one.

Did you complete the Ones We Watched Legendary Challenge?

Did you actually enjoy those matches?

Or did you feel the same frustration, boredom and lack of purpose that I did?

And most importantly:

After all that effort, do you really believe Savio is worth it?

Because when you look at the difficulty of the challenge, Tottenham's current form, and the uncertainty surrounding the upgrade...
