Unresponsive Passing, Forced Turnovers, and Unrealistic AI Goals

Another infuriating problem with Ultimate Team’s World Class difficulty is the game’s apparent disregard for player-controlled passing direction.

Why does the game repeatedly send the ball to players I never intended to pass to?

For example, I can deliberately aim my goalkeeper’s pass toward my left-back or right-back, only for the game to inexplicably redirect the ball toward a center-back who has an opposing attacker directly behind him. The defender immediately gets tackled, the AI takes possession, and suddenly I’m conceding a goal from a situation I specifically tried to avoid.

This happens far too frequently to dismiss as an occasional misplaced pass.

What is the point of giving players directional passing controls if the game repeatedly overrides their intended targets?

And then there are the absurd goals the AI manages to score. Opposing players routinely execute improbable finishes, maintain possession under ridiculous pressure, and capitalize on defensive situations that feel completely disconnected from their actual ratings and abilities.

Difficulty should come from intelligent opposition, not from making my own players behave incompetently.

I understand that passes shouldn’t always be perfect. Player attributes, pressure, positioning, and timing should matter. But there’s an enormous difference between a realistically misplaced pass and a goalkeeper inexplicably selecting a heavily marked center-back instead of the wide-open fullback I’m aiming toward.

I am not asking EA to make World Class easy. I’m asking EA to make it fair.

Stop confusing artificial frustration with genuine competitive difficulty. If the AI is going to beat me, let it beat me through superior football—not through unreliable controls, questionable passing decisions, and seemingly impossible goals.
