Same here, started around 2100 UTC yesterday. Game went laggy, since then it has been really intermittent getting in. Launch game. Try to connect and the first error says PSN needs to be logged in. Try again and the error says EA Servers are down. Both PSN and EA status' showing fine which looking at down detector when the issues started we were not the only ones. And I am logged in to PSN fine.
When you do manage to connect it takes several minutes for anything to load, you can't get into a game, the transer market won't load or loads 3-4 minutes after you click it, the store won't load or loads 3-4 minutes after you click it and locks you into a loading screen you can't get past or back out of so you have to reset the game and it the fun and games start again.
Don't dismiss it as users at fault. There is clearly an issue in performance with UK user connections at least even if your status page is saying everything is fine. I am logged in fine to PSN and my network speed is over 700mbps and yet doing anything in UT is taking 3-4 minutes.
Not a good look when you aren't even in general release yet.
