Sudden Ping Increase in FC 27 Ultimate Team, Jordan

Hello EA Support Team,

I am experiencing a sudden and significant increase in ping in EA SPORTS FC 27, specifically in Ultimate Team Division Rivals and Champions.

I am based in Amman, Jordan, and use Zain Jordan Fiber with a wired Ethernet connection on PS5. My ping was consistently around 6–8 ms before suddenly increasing to approximately 66–71 ms over the past few days.

Here are my connection details:

Platform: PlayStation 5

ISP: Zain Jordan Fiber

Connection type: Wired Ethernet

Previous ping: 6–8 ms

Current in-game ping: Approximately 66–71 ms

EA Connection Quality Report: 31.4 ms ping, 4.57 ms jitter, and 0.08% packet loss

Recent match history: A match recorded 70.86 ms ping, with 0.13 ms jitter and 0.08% packet loss.

I contacted my ISP, and they advised that the issue might be related to the game servers. I have not changed my internet connection or network setup, and the sudden increase has occurred across multiple matches.

Could you please investigate whether there have been any changes to the FC 27 matchmaking data centers, server routing, or connectivity affecting players in Jordan and the Middle East?

I would appreciate it if you could escalate this issue to the appropriate technical team rather than providing only general troubleshooting steps, as my connection previously delivered consistently low ping.

Please let me know if you require any additional information or diagnostic results.

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,
A player from Jordan

  • Same case here, but on PC. Zain Fiber, constant 6-8 ping. Yesterday I was facing weird spikes during the weekend league games, and then I am now only getting 68-80 ping. Contacted Zain support and no issues were detected on their end.

I am having the same issue as well, and I also have Zain Fiber! I've been playing on 6-10 ms ever since the game came out, but yesterday i noticed the ping increase. Looking at my opponents' PS5 gamertags, it seems like I've switched from Tel Aviv's servers to Paris/Frankfurt servers (East Europe)

I’m experiencing exactly the same issue with Zain Fiber in Amman, Jordan, on PS5.

I was consistently getting 6–8 ms ping on Middle East 1 servers, but over the past few days, my ping has suddenly increased to 70–80 ms, and I now appear to be connecting to West European servers.

I’ve already contacted Zain, and they claim there are no issues on their end. However, multiple Zain Fiber customers are reporting the exact same problem, while players using VTEL in Jordan are reportedly still getting around 6 ms.

This strongly suggests a routing, peering, or EA server-selection issue specifically affecting Zain customers.

EA, could you please escalate this to your network engineering team and investigate why Zain Jordan players are no longer connecting to the same low-latency Middle East servers?

This is clearly not an isolated connection issue, and restarting routers or changing DNS settings will not address the underlying problem.

We would appreciate an official response and investigation rather than generic troubleshooting instructions.
