Decoding the EA Pro Clubs API (match_event_aggregates)

Anyone who is familiar with the EA Pro Clubs API end points knows that the match data is pretty lack luster compared to the Player Performance screen at the end of a match (which literally is never stored anywhere after you leave the game).

In the API endpoint for the match data, each player has four "match_event_aggregates" which appear to be a list of encoded match events with values for how many times that player did that event in that game.

I have pretty sufficient evidence to suggest that this is that match data and if we knew the keys, we would be able to get all of our match statistics. I have decoded to a reliable degree of confidence probably about ~20 of the about ~175 (suspect based on the highest event number that the actual number of events is about 250) events that I have encountered in my data.

If anyone has worked on doing this before I would love your help or if anyone wants to help I would greatly appreciate it!

And if the community manager is reading this please save me time and go find out what the keys are and let us know pleaseeeee.

  • You're not alone on this: Ibanaham just asked EA for the same event dictionary in "Request for Complete FC 27 Clubs API Event ID and JSON Definitions", with 96 distinct event IDs in one match file. Pooling your decoded IDs might get you both further.

On the FC 27 league matches I've looked at, each aggregate is a comma-separated list of id:count pairs, for example 174:5,175:3,215:8. If you end up with a reliable list, I'd be glad to add the labels to proclubs-sdk, the open-source Node.js client I maintain for these endpoints, so other tools can use them too.
