Drop ins kit clashes & preferred positions
There are two major issues with Clubs Drop-Ins that are happening regularly and seriously affecting gameplay.
Kit clashes happen far too often
Very frequently, both teams are given kits that are extremely similar in colour. For example, both teams can end up wearing very similar colour and shade kits at the same time, making it incredibly difficult to distinguish teammates from opponents during normal gameplay.
This shouldn’t be happening. The game should automatically recognise when two kits are too visually similar and force one team into a clearly contrasting kit. It is particularly frustrating in Clubs because quick passing and identifying player movement is so important.
Preferred positions in Drop-Ins are not being respected
My Pro uses the Creator archetype and is specifically built as an attacking midfielder/CAM. In Drop-Ins I select Attacking Midfield as my preferred position, yet I am constantly placed at LW or RW instead.
This makes very little sense because Winger is already its own selectable preferred-position category. If I wanted to play on the wing, I would select Winger.
Trying to work around the problem causes another issue. If I select Central Midfield instead, hoping this gives me a better chance of being placed centrally or at CAM, the game significantly lowers my displayed overall rating because it appears to calculate my build as though I am going to play CDM/RCM/LCM rather than recognising that my Creator is an attacking midfielder.
The preferred-position system should prioritise the category the player actually selected. If Attacking Midfield is chosen, CAM should be the priority. Players should only be moved to completely different position categories such as LW/RW when absolutely necessary, rather than seemingly at random. There has been times where I’ve been the only player on my team in drop ins games with my preferred position set to attacking midfielder and still been placed on the wing.
Both of these issues are happening repeatedly rather than being isolated incidents. Drop-Ins have existed for years, so basic functionality such as position assignment and preventing obvious kit clashes should be working reliably.
