Defending is worse than ever

I’m I the only person realizing CPU don’t do a **bleep** thing when you’re not controlling them. I played a game where my RB & LB was basically -2 on the pitch, they don’t react to nothing, players just run past them and they allow it. EA really talked about improve defending guess it was all **bleep** in the end.

CPU teammates appears to be more worry about returning to their positions more than anything else, if you brings up your CAM on the wings to close down from the moment you unselect them they will automatically start running back to position instead sticking to the press.

I’m so glad I decided to play the 10hr trial before wasting my money again.

I have same feedback as you. CPU players are worst. Maybe they will fix in next update

Fair... when you're playing someone else in PVP. The most skilled one wins. Great.

Now try playing the AI on World Class using a similar team. They are cracked. Your defense does nothing and is just standing there, making it incredibly easy for the AI to pass them. Yet THEIR defense still functions like it's EA FC 26 again.

Defensive mechanics are terrible. The AI is passing the ball around using a silver team with the accuracy of my tiki-taka 26 team... As you can only be in one place at once and the default switching system isn't amazing, you'll make errors eventually. Pressing RB just results in the closest playing homing to the ball and creates more gaps than not.

Your AI returning to their positions was already an annoying thing in FC26 - especially against AI as they excell in exploiting their own incompetence - but at least they were active...

Add to that the headers that seamingly got boosted to the moon. But maybe my defenders are too short? Might be a skill issue in my high ball defense as it was useless in 26.

Thank god for the free trial. It cost me 5€ but did save me over 60.

i thought 26 was terrible then i played 27 and realised EA has officially lost the plot because someone explain what in the world is this??

How do you control 11 players at once? if i’m marking an inside run with my cb and my fullback just lets the winger run right past him how is that my fault? we are fine with defending being more manual. it’s the facts that when you’re controlling a player the other players are in lala land. can’t control all 11 players at the same time bud. not to mention players literally running over balls and leaving them like it’s not that defending is hard it’s that the AI mechanics are insanely stupid&nbsp;

That’s because you’re supposed to learn how to defend on your own every year previous to this they’ve made it where it just does it for this year. It’s manual.
