Season pass

I purchased the ultimate plus edition. And when the game was released the pass was showing as locked. I was not aware at the time I should of had the season pass with the edition that I purchased, so I bought 1050 points in game and then used 1000 points for the pass only to realise it should have been with my edition. I contacted ea over live chat and told them, they said that my points would be refunded within 48 hours and if not to contact them again (luckily I screen shotted the chat) I went back today as the points are not refunded only to be told by the advisor that the points will not be refunded and there is nothing they can do. So because of their in game error I’m the one that has to be out of pocket. I asked for compensation due to their error and also due to their colleague telling me I would be refunded and they just closed the chat. Anyone else had this issue and if so any resolution? My season pass is now available but because I purchased it when I shouldn’t of had to
