Players with dribbling skills should have the option to dribble instead of being forced to pass. If a skilled dribbler is able to beat an opponent with dribble skills, it doesn’t make sense to auto-pass or clear the ball when there is an option to dribble and surpass the opponent’s defender marking

@ddc19ad39d4dd81e They won’t pass in h2h while you are in control of the joystick unless you provide a command for them to pass … it could be that your finger is coming off the joystick for a couple of seconds, or that you are accidentally tapping the screen somewhere.If you could post some video of it occurring then we can help to troubleshoot, and if it is doing it randomly despite being fully in control then we can send on to the gameplay team to have a look.

Players automatically pass the ball when tightly marked by an opponent, even while performing 180 or 360-degree rotational maneuvers to evade direct tackles. These passes can be high lob passes on the wings or straight back passes, depending on the last direction faced by the player in possession of the ball. I believe the game’s script is designed to discourage prolonged dribbling. Instead of enhancing the defenders’ AI for smarter positioning, the script forces the player in possession to make automatic passes.At times, this leads to unfavorable situations, particularly when a defender in our own half clears the ball instead of exploiting open space to dribble. For instance, a player like Marcelo is scripted to pass immediately rather than dribble, regardless of whether the midfield is tightly marked or lacks supporting players in the right positions to receive a pass.EA should stop implementing buggy scripts that force players to pass or clear the ball. I’ve also noticed other scripting issues in different scenarios:Two nearby players often collide, causing the ball to be lost due to poor positioning or a lack of positional awareness.When a player is too close to the ball carrier, pressing the pass button results in what feels like a self-pass.Players run excessively without proper understanding of the correct gaps, positioning, or the required amount of running, leading to lost possession. The attached video, intended to record only goal-scoring moments, also captures this frantic running, which drains stamina unnecessarily and compromises the defense. @ddc19ad39d4dd81e oh mate - there is no scripting in the game ... post some video of the passing issue that you describe so that we can understand what is happening.I couldn't open the video you posted on the running ...

@qq3a4po3mlax if you take your finger off the control pad then the AI takes over and it is inherently stupid ... make sure you maintain contact with the controls and it should not pass unless you tell it to

Not Related to Clearing the Ball (red icon on player's head): This issue isn’t connected to the red exclamation sign indicating a player is about to clear the ball. It’s a separate issue altogether.
Auto Pass Behavior: The auto pass occurs unexpectedly, regardless of whether you’re in your own half or the opponent’s half. When tightly marked, attempting to evade defenders using zig-zag or to-and-fro movements triggers the game to automatically pass the ball. While this may encourage passing-oriented gameplay, it frustrates players who rely on skill dribbling or prefer a dribbling-focused style.
Justified Gameplay and Unintended Consequences: Skilled dribblers often use zig-zag movements to avoid marking. However, the auto pass disrupts this strategy. Sometimes, it results in unintended passes to teammates or even opponents, affecting the game’s flow.
Lack of Clarity for Players: The EA FC Mobile developers should explicitly inform players about the auto pass behavior. If the game prioritizes passing over dribbling, clear communication would help dribbling-focused players adjust their playstyle accordingly.

@ddc19ad39d4dd81e I haven’t been able to replicate what you have described - post some video and I can forward on to the team.

There should be no situations where auto pass engages while you have control of your player, other than in h2h when you are holding the ball in your back half.

If you are having issues with autoplay kicking in though, you can go into settings and switch it off.
