Can't get the Secret World rewards

I don't know what I'm missing here, but surely I've passed the portal on floor 1? I can't see, click on or claim any rewards in the "Secret World" tab.
Passing the open door does not unlock the secret world. You have to discover something like a vortex in the rewards table.
