It worked for me, but with zico CAM, maybe that's their bug? Either that or they are only registering midfielders from the TOTY event 🤔
Seems only the CAM registers. I scored 2 with CM Beckham and CM Gundogan and one with CAM Zola. Only Zola’s goal registered.
Yes it’s the CAM (Player) that works. Went with CAM Zola and CAM Rui Costa at CAM along with CM Beckham at CAM in 4231 Narrow formation. Goal from Beckham did not register again but 2 goals from Zola and one from Rui Costa registered.
My CM's didn't count

Not quite, CAM, CDM, RM register, and you need to be in the default position, irrespective of the event, LM and CM don't register
