Subject: Request for Fair Compensation – October 15 Malen Star Shards Glitch
Dear EA SPORTS FC Mobile Team,
I am disappointed by the recent Donyell Malen Star Shards glitch on October 15, 2026. Some players were able to buy the 119 OVR Malen card for only 500 Star Shards and exchange it for 1,500 Star Shards, gaining 1,000 extra shards per transaction.
Many of us missed this glitch and continued playing fairly, spending our time grinding for Star Shards. I personally have only 1,000 Star Shards left, while players who took advantage of this glitch may now have enough resources to build much stronger squads.
This has created an unfair competitive advantage, especially before upcoming major events.
My requests to EA:
- Provide meaningful compensation to players who missed the glitch.
- Consider giving eligible players a fair amount of Star Shards and a high-OVR player selection pack.
- Investigate the extra shards generated through the exploit and take appropriate action to protect the game's competitive balance.
- Make a clear official announcement so the community knows how EA plans to resolve this issue.
We are not asking EA to bring the glitch back. We are asking for fairness. Players should not be disadvantaged simply because they were not online during a short-lived mistake by the game.
Please listen to the community and provide compensation that reflects the scale of this issue.
We grind for months. Others gained thousands of shards in minutes. We deserve a fair chance too.
