This has been occuring ever since the last update. Gameplay in Icon Chronicles has gotten ridiculously hard. When playing with my 104OVR team against a 85 or 90 team, their attackers are much faster than my fast 103 defender, and are unstoppable. My 103 ST gets stopped easily by much weaker defenders. And so on, and so on, It's next to impossible to win the games!
But the weird thing is, in a number of the games I lost, I still got a "YOU WON" screen at the end, and I got the reward. Something's not going as it should!

Since the last update it seems the AI difficulty in icones chronicles has been turned up to insane levels (maybe other offline modes in general but not sure since there isn't other modes really available at the moment). I play this game to relax on my phone, I feel like you shouldn't have to be basically perfect just to win one game at pro difficulty. I mean, from their players being near unstopable with the ball, their goalies making impossible saves, their passing slicing through any semblance of defence you can put up and them being able to score wonder goals from nowhere, I can't imagine what the champion difficulty of this AI looks like when this is only pro ! Can I have any developper word on if this is intended or not ? I am a veteran player of several years, have spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars on the game and I am probably way better than your average player, so me finding the AI so difficult should concern you a lot. I almost want to ragequit sometimes...

Just tried again, it's totally ridiculous. @EA_Illium please tell the team, because they need to fix this ASAP. Maybe it was a bit too easy before, but they overcompensated and now it doesn't make any sense.

We aren’t going to buy or spend any money on anything associated with EA
You can either focus on making your customers happy or continue to prioritize fast money and ironically you will lose everything
