when they want you to lose your AI will act like that in most cases. One way to fix it a tiny bit is spam the “Through run” button. Press downward on the Through Pass button.
Also put your team in Attack mode.
Both of these only work sometime, because the game is just trash overall. They don’t want players to have fun
