Why the ovr of the player didn't match with their stats? 88 ovr players might have better stats even attributes than 90 ovr players

Are you including the stats after training? Training affects the stats a lot. My 89 Beckham trained to Level 10 obviously has better stats (Pace 85 Shooting 92 Passing 109 Dribbling 93 etc.) than UCL 90 Beckham (Pace 78 Shooting 86 Passing 92 Dribbling 85 etc.) from the UCL event
If you are comparing untrained cards and the stats of lower card are higher, then that's something that needs to be looked at. I haven't seen any yet. Can you post some examples.
For eg 99 ovr rafael leao and 98 ovr mbappe
