Not likely. I’m F2P and have managed to scrape together about 300 drafts over the last couple of months and I’ve gotten two 116s and one 117 (and the latter was not in a position that helped me much — CDM). The shard system may have had weaknesses, but it delivered F2Pers a reasonable rate of return on our time investment and, above all, it delivered everyone the certainty of being able to choose the player that most helped improve their squad. This new system is flawed on sooooo many levels — poor value, horrible exchanges, and no certainty. It’s been a real kick in the teeth all the way around.

I agree that shards are much better than drafts but bringing back shards would unfortunately not fix the worst aspects of this game, which are the soulless meta cards and the rigged rank up/training system. I think it's dangerous to make EA think they can just bring back the shard system and everything will be ok, especially since it makes events feel way more repetitive. The real problem in this game is that the art of crafting a team the way you want it and in a way that fits your playstyle is almost entirely gone; the only way you can have a "good" team is to get these meta cards that are only meta for a month without any regards for how you want to build your team.

Remember Record Breakers? Cr7 for 1500 shards with no possible way for grinding. It's not about shards or drafts, it's about EA's intentions. I believe Draft System can be better than shards, but EA's intentions to earn more and more money ruined it all.
