Is there a plan to improve Manager Mode tactically?

Beyond everything else in the game, I like Assembling a team that will play the way I want win or lose. At the moment it just isn't possible for 

Is there any thought or plan to improve this aspect of the game?

P.S.
Auto subs are cool, but how about I set the substitutes for each position, and the computer auto-executes rather than decide for me?
