Do I need the same player twice to rank up?? Don’t get it…

- @mendozzamagic that’s a dull answer mate. And not true, I used Bale Now and later as RM for a couple of months since he was so good in that position despite being RW. So don’t neccessarily agree. In any case, it’s a stupid dumb system. With or without pioneers.
- @erdacoca ok - each to their own ... i expect that my couple of 90s will last me a while too, but i don't play the market or spend much on the game, so i guess its all a matter of different perspectives
This is dum why couldn’t they just keep the same system from last year now it’s complicated and I can’t rank up anybody
Went to the store. Bought three of the same player. Ranked up... only to find I didn't succeed... This 50% chance of getting the rank up is a bit more than frustrating. Considering you spend a lot of coins on the players it's a lottery that is worse than any previous version of the game. Imagine trying it in a few months when the players cost 2 billion...
I guess it's the name of the game but kind of wished it would have been less of a lottery.
- I'm thinking of buying ranked up Petit (lvl 3) from the market. Will his stats be boosted or just OVR? And will I get skill points to play around with his position?
- @crashlanding1997 Rank up doesn't boost stats. Just ovr.
Good question about skill points but probably not. As I recall EA video when you sell ranked player you get back skill points to distrivute them to other players.

Is it better to stick with high ovr players (like a 90 rated pioneer) and not bother ranking them up, or buy multiple lower rated cards (an 85 ovr striker for example) and rank them up?

- @CameroonDiaz Its up to you. Seems like 85+ cards are in demand and their price is rising so fast. We will all have to rank up at some point. My opinion is best to wait a bit to see if EA will change anytheing before wasting millions on 85 player. And you need 2 copies of the same player to get to rank 2. To get to rank 5 total is 20 for 100% success rate.
So if an 85 costs 1,5m you need 30m to get him to rank 5.
