See you never

After almost a decade of being faithful to this game, I've decided to quit. The game will never improve and it is more than apparent to me now. I'm tired of being disappointed with every freaking update.

This is honestly the first time i quit a game, not because of a lost of interest on my part, rather because of the very makers of the game twisting it to fill their pockets. EA can try to persuade us to continue playing (e.g. Giving most players 116-117 OVR players in the TOTY event), but the main issue with this game will always persist, and that is the lack of gameplay improvements. Events are pointless if the underlying mechanics are screwed up, which EA has time and time again, naturally do.

I'm tired of having to repeat the same complaint every time eventhough it's true, so i'm not even going to try in this post. The lack of communication between the player base to EA feels like you're shouting a wall and will be an issue I'm happy to not have anymore. My fellow players, take a good hard look at the game, and ask yourself, "Is it really fun?", "Am I having fun?", "Will it improve in the future?", "Is it worth it?", and so on. I asked myself these questions, and after much taught my answer is a BIG. FAT. NO. Suffer if you like, but I'm outta here.

Signing off relieved and free,

A player no more

TLDR: Congrats EA, you've made a game so bad that I'm literally forced to quit for the sake of my mental health.

  • How many more have to quit before EA takes its head out of the sand?

Everything this former user says resonates with me (and I’m sure many others). I’m a hair’s breadth away from quitting in utter frustration myself. Every week is a new bug. Every event provides poorer and poorer rewards/value. And game mechanics remain poor/unchanged. All the while EA says “we are “listening.” But all actions and evidence suggest otherwise, lol!

People are fed up and quitting daily. We give loads of feedback and see no material changes on the issues of greatest concern. Our accounts are materially harmed by perpetual bugs and we almost never see compensation. Meanwhile, with every new event we see EA clawing back more and more value and placing it behind a higher and higher paywall. Do they think we’re too dumb to notice? (Or too addicted to simply walk away when it all becomes too much?)

The stream of customers posting disgusted farewells like this one is only going to grow so long as EA continues on the current path. They are taking a franchise backed by the most popular sport on the planet and running it into the ground and it’s an absolute travesty. 😔😡

Spot on brother. I see it this way, this game is the titanic ship and the iceberg is EA's greed and shamelessness. The ship hit the iceberg and has sunk deep down. And those still playing are the ones trying to swim back to the surface while fighting with many others for that one intact life jacket. That's why you see constant crap being thrown at you even while you play the game. Emotes, celebrations etc2. A cesspool of toxicity. And EA does this deliberately. They do know players get pissed and they do know toxic dudes spam yet they keep it. Cuz showing off emotes is 'fun' according to EA. And majority of the rewards are like an insult to the playerbase. Idk when the dudes who still play are going to realise this. It's a shame. I'm pretty sure if I download the game and play a match in DR ll be met with either a dude who shows off replay and celebration or someone who emotes. That's the truth. I realised that the game is not gonna get any better and will only continue to be worse from here. So I just went ahead and deleted it. EA lives off of hope and once you get the courage to step out and cut that cycle there's no going back. After all these years if all people do are hating on EA they need to look at themselves first and not care about money for once.

  • I also am thinking of quitting this game. It's getting on my nerves. It would be better for my mental health, given the situation, it would be worse in the coming days.

  • One more event is what I have in mind.  If they don't fix this stupid system, I am on my way out as well

  • I changed to eFootball and couldn't be happier. Sure, there's a learning curve but the gameplay is much more realistic.

For me the main issue with EA FC which I have been playing for at least 5 years on different account, and have been a literal addict of, is the shameless, obvious objective of money milking users. The whole focus is on player items art and draws mechanism.

EA has little to no interest in making the game fun.  Always the same silly skill games and lame AI matches. to get currency 1, to convert to currency 2 to play the lottery. BORING.

in eFootball the events are PvP competitions, AI tournaments where you have to play teams from certain leagues etc. Much more interesting.

    1. Fix the gameplay mechanism. It's bad.
    2. Give us something to enjoy besides chasing players.

I'm out for good and am so happy about it. I can finally see how a lame game it has become.
