Yeah, for a game that is no longer about the football anymore and 100% about collecting cards you’d think they’d at least expand the circle of players they use. But instead they recycle the same handful of “greats” (Cruyff, Zidane, Eusebio, etc., etc.) over and over and over again. Fully support seeing some of the emerging stars finally get decent cards. For example, Moises Caicedo is arguably the best holding midfielder on the planet over the last 12 months, but he’s gotten no love from EA.
So, while I’d much rather EA spend their resources on making matchplay better (fix broken mechanics, improve AI, etc.), if they are going to insist on only doing cards then at least introduce a little more variety and show some ball knowledge.

100% agree. I can't imagine in any universe where EA is able to create a game that doesn't rely on riding the fame of sport stars and ethically avoiding the use of pay to win tactics. Game mechanics is a separate topic that even EA will remain ignorant to, so no point in talking about here. In any case, truly an empty shell for a gaming company.
