Plain and simple. Profit/Money. EA don't care about the people playing the game just making money. Even most of the packs you can purchase are untradable. That shoots them in the foot a bit as I feel like that puts some people off buying them.
I just wish EA went back to the roots of the game. Even if you had untadable players you could make a base price profit in them. Now they just got to waste if you already have the player or can't use them in an SBC.
2012 fifa was the best. Linked FUT champs and division rivals so you didn't have to choose one or the other without getting points for just one. I always called it "the weekend league" because you'd play division rivals throughout the week hoping to qualify and when you did you could play FUT champs and still earn the point in DR like I said above.
EA pull your thumb out and start actually caring for the people who play the game. You make enough cheese from people purchasing the game.
