Why Does Manager Mode AI Become Stupid Near Star 10?

Are you serious, EA?

I started playing this game in April 2026, and in Manager Mode, reaching Star 10 feels like fighting the final boss.

I started with a 118 OVR team, and now I’m at 126 OVR, yet I still can’t reach Star 10. Why does my players’ AI suddenly become completely stupid whenever I’m close to reaching Star 10? In the previous match, they can score 3 goals, but in the next match they suddenly can’t do anything right.

I’ve already changed to better players. I’ve even spent money on in-game purchases, but the problem is still the same. The players suddenly make ridiculous decisions, miss easy chances, make terrible passes, and play like they’ve forgotten how football works.

Do you seriously have to drive me insane before I can reach Star 10?

If Manager Mode is supposed to be competitive, then please fix this. The AI shouldn’t suddenly become useless just because I’m getting close to the next rank.

At this point, just destroy the mode entirely. It’s useless!

    You said it:  Manager mode is useless. I don’t think there’s anyone who disagrees (including EA). Honestly, the only way to keep your sanity is to let the simulation run while you do something else and then collect whatever meager rewards you can earn. I have a 126 OVR team and can’t get to +10 FC champions either. Changing tactics and actually trying to “manage” your team during the game is a waste of time because it makes no difference. Just know it’s not you — it’s EA.
