FC 26 mini freezes Rivals mode XBOX One

Both my son and I have been experiencing mini freezes in Rivals mode. Personally I can't stand having to play Rivals in order to get my objectives, but it is what it is I suppose. How do I get rid of these lags? I've had nothing with issues since FC 20? It seems to be really bad on FC 26 this time around? Suggestions?
