Finally FIXED. After this big patch, thank you EA.
I've been playing the EA Play trial for Madden 24 (using the EA launcher) on PC with a Playstation 4 controller, connected through USB.
Everything in game shows the correct Playstation button layout meaning the menus, playcalling and substitutions in game, even the buttons on top of receivers in OFFLINE modes EXCEPT when I play ONLINE H2H or House Rules. For some reason, an online mode makes the button layout on top of the receivers change to the XBOX configuration.

Is the controller wired or wireless? Wired
Are you getting an error message? No error messages
Is anything else happening? Game runs normally outside of the button layout issue.
Please share any steps you've tried to far to resolve the issue: Adding EA App and Madden 24 to my Steam library to tinker with their controller settings, didn't work.
If possible, please share a video of this happening.
