Custom playbook glitch

For the past 5 Maddens, every time I make a custom playbook, it makes the game unplayable. It chooses the wrong plays (for example: I’ll choose HB dive and my guys will line up in some random passing play that doesn’t work for the situation). If I try to audible out of it, the players clump around the ball and the game glitches. It usually glitches towards the same plays so it forces me to run the same plays over and over again. Madden is one of my favorite games and I just simply want to enjoy playing it.
