Franchise - Simulating Training... Forever!

I'm playing Franchise mode in Madden 24.  I've been playing it for a long time, and have had this problem the entire time...

... when I finish up the training "mini games" before an NFL game, and I've also indicated which focuses will be on for training my OFF/DEF... I go to sim training.  It loops, forever.  Infinite loops that never does anything.  I let it run overnight, and it still just came back continuing to say, "Simulating Training."  The only way that I can get out of it is to go to the Xbox menu and do a "hard quit" of the game.  I can restart it... and it seems as if basically no training actually happened.  There's little to no advancement.

Very frustrating!

Any tips on how I can fix this?
