Franchise mode not updating

Why is the franchise mode not updating with each week that is played in the NFL? In Madden 23 and before it would update every week and it would also update the roster too. Did Madden pull all the support off the franchise mode? Are you putting all the support in online modes and removing all support off the off line modes?
